Centre for Cross Border Cooperation: Online Training Programme

Getting Started with Cross Border Cooperation is the Centre’s free online training programme which aims to help those people and organisations thinking about, or beginning to plan, a cross-border project to increase skills and knowledge in delivering an effective cross-border programme.
Whether you are completely new to cross border cooperation projects, or you have some experience in this area already and are looking to build on your experience and create stronger projects and stronger partnerships, this is the course for you.
The online course is split into six interactive modules, each dealing with different aspects of the design of a cross-border cooperation project. If you take it independently you can take as long as you need to complete it. The content consists of text, videos and interactive exercises.
The Centre for Cross Border Cooperation is also currently in the process of finalising a guided learning option which will allow you to further explore the contents of the course via a series of six online sessions with Centre for Cross Border Cooperation’s Director Dr Anthony Soares.
The first of these free weekly sessions is scheduled to take place on Tuesday 25th March. In order to get the most from these sessions, places are limited and allocated on a first-come first-served basis.
A second cohort of 6 guided learning sessions is scheduled to begin in October 2025.
A digital badge is provided after you have either successfully completed the course independently or taken the facilitated version of the course. If you take the course independently you will have to complete all six of the modules to acquire a silver badge, and if you take the ‘guided learning’ version you will have to attend five of the six online facilitated sessions to acquire a gold badge. This badge contains metadata describing the learning that you have undertaken. This can be shared in your email signature or on social media, for example LinkedIn.
